What better town to start a life together than New Hope? I can’t think of any.
Maybe I should’ve started with – It was a cold winter morning and I was rushing on 95 to get to New Hope, where I was to capture the love of two beautiful people, Natalie and Cliff. Yea, that sounds better. Now, I’ll give you fair warning there’s a ton of cuteness below, old trains and smoke, and these are just a few of my favorites.
I always look forward to engagement sessions and this time the Waterworks and Art Museum were basking in the golden sun of the sunset. Just what we needed to paint some beautiful portraits of our couple. Their Spring wedding is gonna rock!
This last e-session was hands down one of the most colorful fall sessions I’ve shot to date, with fall foliage at its peak. And I’m sure Lauren and Mike will agree, although we did chase the foliage a bit around Swarthmore College campus.
This was the first time I photographed a morning engagement session without loading up on coffee beforehand. All due to a little technology hiccup and a very patient couple. Thank you Jess & Jeff!
But finally, I got to meet their cute doggie Darby and walked for the first time on Ben Franklin Bridge – a pretty cool experience and views of the city.
I laughed and laughed with Svetlana and Justin during their wedding at Old Mill, and I’m still laughing while posting these photos on the blog. They are just that type of happy souls and their positivity spreads around like wildfire. And laughs turned into tears during their speeches and back into laughs along with the party. Also, I need some of that amazing beer, Justin brewed, in my life asap! 🙂
But let me tell you the story of their day through images.

This is one for the books folks. I found myself back on the banks of Delaware, at the beautiful Glen Foerd mansion where Matt and Amelia were getting ready to arm wrestle their way into their marriage. (see proof below) After their getting ready we found ourselves in the cool breeze of the ceremony with all emotions at peak.
Just before the party, we had to play in the golden sunset light of the mansion’s front lawn and photograph the love of these two sweethearts.

Indeed we stormed out when we noticed this beautiful full moon. What can be more romantic?

Guess who’s a mummer? Matt’s dad! So it was in order the mummers made a special appearance at their wedding reception.
Let me teach you something. When you see a photographer at a wedding go “oooh, ahhh, yesss, this light”, it means the photos are turning out great. That’s exactly what was happening all day long at Alexandra and Vinny’s wedding the other weekend. These two love birds chose to have their wedding at Michener Art Museum, an exquisite venue with the ceremony held right by the water fountain outdoors. How lucky were they to actually have a Steve McCurry exhibit during the wedding day. When it was time for drinks and dancing the party was moved inside the cool Apple looking glass dome.
After photographing their engagement at Longwood Gardens during the orchid extravaganza, I knew the wedding itself will have no shortage of the elegant Orchidaceae. And I was not wrong, as Alexandra’s bouquet, built on a wire frame was an amazing orchid display.

A little rain couldn’t scare Valerie and Todd from enjoying their wedding at the Skybox in Philadelphia. We even took the time to peruse the cute Old City streets where Val used to live before their ceremony. Enjoy the photos with commentary from yours truly.

They say rain on your wedding day is good luck. Well for these two lovers, it was!
A little bit of chemistry to unite Todd and Val. It’s called a Liquid GLow Unity Ceremony.
And the party is on!
We were even visited by a dancing dinosaur and a flamingo bird.
They say the early bird catches the worm, and I agree, but the worm has to be caught after a strong coffee in my case. Even so, I like having early morning photo sessions more, as opposed to the comfortable sunset ones everybody loves. And when one gets an awesome couple, like Courtney and Mark were, one gets down and dirty, or wet in my case.
How about I let you enjoy the photos instead of my blabbering?
If there was ever a wedding day that offered me all types of beautiful light and range of emotions, I would say this past weekend’s Mantoloking Yacht Club wedding is it. Robyn and Jack made it look so easy, they absolutely enjoyed the day and partied hard later. We even got photobombed by powered paragliders after the ceremony that took place right on the beach.
Keeping tradition to break the rules when talking photo ops, we sneaked into this pier before the ceremony.

And indeed we witnessed one of them most beautiful sunsets at the beach.

I’m always up for hiking the beautiful Wissahickon Trail and since Ty proposed to Jackie at Devil’s pond, they wanted to retrace that day on their engagement session.
A scorching hot day could not stop Allison and Sam from having the time of their life at their Glen Foerd Mansion outdoor wedding. We made friends indeed with a few huge floor fans, some hugged them all night but they rocked the night regardless.
And so their story begins on the banks of the Delaware, on a hot summer day.

The early bird catches the worm or so they say. Well in our case the early bird avoids 97 degree sticky weather and takes advantage of morning colors, because we’re taking photos not hunting worms. Just wanted to clarify in case some believe I’m a hunter.
It’s always hard to wake up at wee hours, but man does it pay off and there’s always coffee to be had. Camden waterfront offered beautiful views of Philadelphia’s skyline while the sun was rising and bathing the skyscrapers in warm golden light.
Most times I have a hard time putting into words the connection between a woman and a man, the love floating all around, from family to their friends and everyone who surrounds them, and this time, it was no different. I have to admit that I’ve had so much help from the girls in the bridal party and it shows in the photos, starting with getting ready at Vanessa’s mother lovely home and ending with epic shots of Vanessa and Donald by the fire outside the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove.

How awesome is it when you walk into a place like White Manor Country Club and everyone knows you?! I’ve reached a new record people; four couples I’ve photographed or will photograph soon. There’s no better feeling as a wedding photographer!
One of those happy couples is Ali and Josh. So sweet and caring, up for anything, even when the golf carts stop working randomly around the golf course, dodging golf balls at high speed, ducking and rolling in the grass with the speed and agility of a marine. Ok, I exaggerated the last bit, but you get the gist.
The bridal party was one of the most engaging and fun I’ve ever had, so props to them! And when you have a bride that doubles as a DJ you know the party is gonna rock.

A little power outage wasn’t gonna derail Kristen and Kevin’s day, it brought them even closer for the getting ready part of the day. We even dodged rain throughout the day and after playing around the West Chester Courthouse we headed down to Penn Oaks Golf Club for their wedding ceremony and reception.
Heavenly light poured down from the skies and bathed the outdoor ceremony surrounded by the smell of red roses and the fresh summer afternoon breeze. Who said I can’t use adjectives? Show yourself in the comments! 🙂

One of my favorite moments of the wedding day, first look or reveal.
It was settling to be another great Rivercrest Golf Club Preserve wedding this past sizzling hot weekend. But oh boy these two wonderful people brought it to the next level on just about every aspect of the wedding day, from the relaxed getting ready of the girls to the blazing party. Ghazal’s smiling is infectious, to say the least, and Hooman’s character fits right in there with his better half. And as you can imagine it was all laughs and giggles all throughout.
One cannot wish for a better couple to spend an entire day with, and have the privilege to create some amazing memories for them. For this, I thank you both!
We even played with some fog at the end of the night.
I’m quite certain that Rose and Tim got married on the best day in May! After capturing their getting ready at Lowes Hotel in Philadelphia they decided to have their first look in Dilworth Park, temporary home of the Love sign. Despite the park being crowded, Rose and Tim made their moment private by focusing on one another and just having fun with it. Bucks County Trolley Co drove us around the Logan Square where miraculously the water fountain came on just as we were approaching. I wish I could say I know a guy, but I don’t, I really don’t. 🙂
But not before we climbed trees in Rittenhouse Square, or shall I say, we made Rose climb a tree for a cool photo. Then we walked over to the Stotesbury Mansion where they were married and had their celebration.
These guys were up for anything on their wedding day, and for me it doesn’t get better than this. Thank you for letting us be part of your wonderful celebration Rose and Tim!

This season started with a few rainy day weddings and it looks like May is dropping more on us this weekend but our Union Trust wedding rocked on. I’m gonna stop bragging about being lucky with the weather when I shoot and maybe, just maybe, mother nature will start liking me again. Until then umbrellas are my best friend.
But a little watery substance didn’t scare Andrea and Matthew much and we stopped by the Art Museum for a few portraits on the Rocky steps. I guess it all balances out because their engagement session took place on a gorgeous day at Tyler Arboretum.
Union Trust instantly became one of my favorite venues after shooting there. Sixty-five foot illuminated engraved ceilings are truly majestic and emphasize the grandeur of this new Philadelphia wedding venue. I’m sure the newlyweds don’t regret one bit having their big day there.

It was my first time photographing a wedding at Inn at Leola Village. This place encompasses everything a bride and groom would want, from beautiful suites like to a restaurant scene and the elegant Casa di Fiori with its robust stone fireplace, and plenty of parking for your guests.
After Dave and Ashley’s first look we played around the grounds and headed to the reception room for ceremony. One thing is for sure, these guys know how to party, and that’s what they did all throughout the night.
