Arianna & Ryan’s La Luna Banquet Hall Wedding
There are wedding days that feel perfectly planned, and then there are wedding days that feel genuinely lived in — full of laughter, happy tears, hugs, and the little moments that you know a couple will remember years from now.
Arianna and Ryan’s wedding at La Luna Banquet Hall in Bensalem, PA was one of those days.
From the moment the day began, there was a relaxed excitement in the air. Family and friends gathered together, everyone getting ready for what was going to be a beautiful celebration. And when it was finally time for the ceremony, Arianna and Ryan exchanged vows outdoors in the gazebo area at La Luna, surrounded by their closest friends and family.
It was the perfect way to begin their wedding day.
An Outdoor Ceremony at La Luna Banquet Hall
One of my favorite things about La Luna Banquet Hall is that couples have the option to get married outdoors without having to leave the property.
Arianna and Ryan chose the venue’s gazebo area for their ceremony, creating an intimate outdoor setting surrounded by greenery. There was something especially nice about having everyone gathered outside as they exchanged vows. The setting felt romantic without being overly formal, and it gave the ceremony a very personal atmosphere.
As a wedding photographer, outdoor ceremonies like this give me so many opportunities to capture the little reactions happening throughout the ceremony — a parent watching their child get married, friends smiling from their seats, and those quiet looks between the couple that happen when they momentarily forget anyone else is around.
And, of course, that first moment when they walk back down the aisle together as newlyweds.
Those are the photographs that tell the story.
Taking Wedding Portraits Around La Luna
After the ceremony, we took advantage of the beautiful grounds at La Luna for family photos, wedding party portraits, and time with just Arianna and Ryan.
One of the things that makes La Luna Banquet Hall a great wedding photography venue is the variety of settings available right on the property. The gazebo, gardens, outdoor areas, architectural details, and reception spaces give couples plenty of options for portraits without spending a large portion of the wedding day traveling between locations.
For me, that means more time photographing the couple and less time worrying about logistics.
It also gives us the opportunity to create a gallery that doesn’t look like every photograph was taken in the same spot.
We can move around, find different backgrounds, use the available light, and let the portraits feel natural rather than overly staged.
For Arianna and Ryan, that meant taking some time away from the excitement of the day to simply enjoy being married.
Those few minutes together after the ceremony can be some of my favorite moments to photograph. The nerves are gone, the ceremony is over, and the couple finally gets a chance to breathe and take everything in.
The Beauty of La Luna Banquet Hall
La Luna has a really nice balance between its outdoor and indoor spaces.
The property features landscaped outdoor areas, a gazebo, patio spaces, garden settings, and architectural details that provide plenty of character for wedding photographs. Inside, the ballroom offers a more elegant and polished atmosphere for the reception.
The venue also includes the historic Ellerslie Manor House, which adds another unique element to the property. Having a historic house alongside the gardens and banquet hall gives La Luna a different feel from a traditional ballroom-only wedding venue.
It also makes the venue particularly convenient for a full wedding day.
Couples can get ready, have their ceremony, take portraits, and celebrate their reception all in one location.
And from a photography standpoint, I love that.
It allows me to document the entire story of the day instead of only showing up for the ceremony and reception.
From “I Do” to the Dance Floor
Once the formalities were finished, it was time for Arianna and Ryan to celebrate with the people who came to see them get married.
This is always one of my favorite transitions on a wedding day.
The atmosphere changes.
The nerves disappear. Everyone has eaten. The music gets louder. The dance floor starts filling up, and suddenly the focus shifts from getting the perfect photograph to simply enjoying the moment.
That is when some of the best candid photographs happen.
A grandmother laughing at her table.
Friends dancing together.
Parents watching their children celebrate.
A quick kiss between the newlyweds when they think nobody is looking.
These moments aren’t necessarily on the wedding timeline, but they’re often the photographs couples end up loving the most.
Why I Love Photographing Weddings at La Luna
If you’re considering La Luna Banquet Hall for your wedding, one of the biggest advantages is how much variety you get without having to leave the venue.
You can have an outdoor ceremony in the gazebo, take portraits around the gardens and property, and then move into an elegant ballroom reception — all in one place.
The venue’s combination of outdoor spaces, gardens, the historic Ellerslie Manor House, and reception ballroom creates plenty of opportunities for a wedding photographer to tell the complete story of your day.
And because everything is located together, you can spend more of your wedding day with the people you love instead of sitting in a car traveling between locations.
For couples looking for a Bensalem wedding venue, Bucks County wedding venue, or a location convenient to Philadelphia and New Jersey, La Luna is definitely worth considering.
Congratulations, Arianna & Ryan
