Point Pleasant engagement with Samantha and Nathan

Around the year 1500, the area that included the future Point Pleasant was the ceremonial meeting place of the Lenape Native Americans, who called it the “Land of Tall Timber”. In approximately 1665, the first European settlers arrived in the area, mainly fishermen, farmers and boat builders. Samantha and Nathan are neither, but they did get engaged on the beautiful Jenkinson’s Boardwalk, lanterns and all. Here are a few photos from their eerie Point Pleasant engagement session last week.

How can one top a beautiful Spring afternoon in the city, other than spending it in great company, sprinkled with tears and laughter throughout? I’ll tell you how. You take two people in love, walk them from Morris House Hotel through Washington Square Park’s busy alleys, all the way to their Union Trust wedding, and take photos in between, preferably. Warrington Country Club wedding | Casey and Sean

It was almost two years ago when we photographed Casey and Sean’s engagement, right before Sean got deployed.  And here we are today, celebrating with these two awesome people their Warrington Country Club wedding. Emotions ran high, tears were shed, laughter was heard piercing through the sick beats that DJ Eric was spinning all night.

“Once in a while, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairytale.” read one of the easel displays in the cocktail hour room, and it could not have been truer.

Solomon and Neena rock their Philadelphia Marriott wedding

Weekends are for making memories, and memories we made this past Saturday. Solomon and Neena planned their Philadelphia Marriott wedding so well, that many professional planners would envy them. But it always helps to have super helpful and loving families, lend a hand on such a big day. We started our little storytelling journey in New Jersey, at Neena’s parents’ home, while my buddy Ryan, captured Solomon getting ready at his parent’s home in Philly.

Dana and Daniel’s wedding at Pomme | Peachtree & Ward Catering

According to Wikipedia “In the context of relationships, chemistry is a simple “emotion”[1] that two people get when they share a special connection. It is not necessarily sexual. It is the impulse making one think “I need to see this person again” – that feeling of “we click””.  Daniel and Dana share that deep chemistry, and it made my job photographing them so much easier during their wedding at Pomme, and inherently their engagement session. Glen Foerd wedding | Amelia and Matt

This is one for the books folks. I found myself back on the banks of Delaware, at the beautiful Glen Foerd mansion where Matt and Amelia were getting ready to arm wrestle their way into their marriage. (see proof below) After their getting ready we found ourselves in the cool breeze of the ceremony with all emotions at peak.

Just before the party, we had to play in the golden sunset light of the mansion’s front lawn and photograph the love of these two sweethearts.

Alex & Vinny’s wedding at Michener Art Museum

Let me teach you something. When you see a photographer at a wedding go “oooh, ahhh, yesss, this light”, it means the photos are turning out great. That’s exactly what was happening all day long at Alexandra and Vinny’s wedding the other weekend. These two love birds chose to have their wedding at Michener Art Museum, an exquisite venue with the ceremony held right by the water fountain outdoors. How lucky were they to actually have a Steve McCurry exhibit during the wedding day. When it was time for drinks and dancing the party was moved inside the cool Apple looking glass dome.

After photographing their engagement at Longwood Gardens during the orchid extravaganza, I knew the wedding itself will have no shortage of the elegant Orchidaceae. And I was not wrong, as Alexandra’s bouquet, built on a wire frame was an amazing orchid display.

They say the early bird catches the worm, and I agree, but the worm has to be caught after a strong coffee in my case. Mantoloking Yacht Club wedding | Robyn and Jack

If there was ever a wedding day that offered me all types of beautiful light and range of emotions, I would say this past weekend’s Mantoloking Yacht Club wedding is it. Robyn and Jack made it look so easy, they absolutely enjoyed the day and partied hard later. We even got photobombed by powered paragliders after the ceremony that took place right on the beach.
