Alyona and Maksym | Golden Gates Philadelphia wedding

What do you get when photographing two beautiful people? That’s more of a statement than a question, so you tell me after the break ;).

So many familiar traditions, brought back great memories from my home country of Romania. After their ceremony, along with their fun bridal party, we stopped by City Hall for the iconic Broad street photo and The Union League building later.

Alyona and Maksym, both of Ukranian descent, chose to have their wedding at Golden Gates restaurant in Northeast Philadelphia, and they were thrilled with this venue. From decor to the tasty food and amazing deserts, everything turned out wonderful, and we had a great time with them.

More images from their beautiful styled session the next day in the next post.

Sarah and Clinton's wedding at Smithville Mansion

It’s no secret that I have been dying to shoot a wedding at the historic Smithville Mansion. We’ve been so excited to celebrate Sarah and Clinton’s wedding there since the moment we first met them! Their day was nothing short of gorgeous, and it was absolutely filled to the brim with amazing details. Smithville was truly the perfect backdrop for their wedding with its rustic charm. Sarah had the most amazing room to get ready in with a brick fireplace and a little loft. Oh did I mention she rocked an amazing Maggie Sotterro dress? Because she did. We have so many favorite moments from their wedding day, their love for each other and their joy is totally contagious and when they smile you are smiling right along with them.

Sarah and Clinton, we loved your day and we are so glad we were able to celebrate it with you!

Donna & Wil's wedding at Rosebank Winery | Rose Ballroom

Donna & Wil at Rosebank Winery

Meet Donna and Wil: Adventurous, outgoing, silly. And I cannot dispute any of those traits. We started the day at Mariott with both love birds getting ready followed by a beautiful outdoor ceremony under willow trees. Can it get more romantic than that in a winery? I think not.  The vineyard alone is enough to want your wedding there and it could not have been a more perfect fit for Donna & Wil’s wedding!

Later we had traditional dances and drums, and it was a blast! Enjoy their story in the photos.

Stephanie & Andrew’s wedding at Aldie Mansion

Stephanie & Andrew at Aldie Mansion

Although weather predictions were against us on Stephanie and Andrew’s wedding day, and after a few summer showers passed, we were blesses with a gorgeous day on the beautiful grounds at Aldie Mansion. With an outdoor ceremony, followed by cocktail hour and intros to reception, we had a great mix of heat and cool. And cool it became all as soon as the party started, with tunes by DJ Andre.

Enjoy the photos after the break.

Stephanie and Andy (199 of 457)-1A few words about the amazing venue Stephanie and Andrew chose:

“Past the brick and wrought-iron gates, on more than 10 acres of carefully tended grounds, stands Aldie Mansion. While its period charm adds to the ambiance of any special event, this restored mansion offers the space and amenities of a more contemporary venue.

In particular, the new 2,400-square-foot atrium presents many unique possibilities. Designed in keeping with Aldie’s Tudor architecture, it accommodates a formal dinner dance for up to 200 guests.

The original oak-paneled Library, Boardroom and Great Hall with its bluestone floor all feature distinctive fireplaces and are ideal for smaller gatherings. Outside, splashing fountains, terraces, rolling lawns and rare specimen trees create a thousand lovely photo backdrops.

Aldie Mansion was modeled after the Mercer family’s ancestral estate in Perthshire, Scotland. The present mansion, built in 1927, is the second of that name built on the property. The first, an imposing Victorian “cottage,” was built for the William R. Mercer family in the mid-nineteenth century.”

Alexandra and Phil's wedding at The Madison Hotel

Alexandra and Phil’s wedding at The Madison Hotel

I immediately fell in love with Alexandra and Phil’s wedding venue. From the amazing main building to the vintage train cars, it had such a romantic old-world feel, straight out of a John Wayne movie. I knew the Madison Hotel wedding would be spectacular and indeed it was. The conservatory’s light enchanted us from cocktail hour all the way through the dances and cake cutting and it transformed into this beautiful ambient dim light, perfect to end the night with.
Victoria from Makeup by Victoria did an exquisite job with the girls and Alexandra.
Our resident DJ for the night was DJ Adam.
Flower araingements and bouquets were provided by  Amazing Occassions
Alexandra wore a Sottero and midgley lovely dress.
